The Home
Built in 2004, this log sided cabin/home is perched on a mountain knoll with a commanding view. The floor to ceiling windows peer into the National Forest and are tinted to block the sun and allowing hidden viewing of the critters that meander up from the draw to the west. An open redwood deck in the front is generously wide enough for B.B.Q's, picnic tables and dancing with the help of the outdoor speaker system. The wrap-around deck is covered allowing shelter while still enjoying mother nature!

The home is heated and cooled with a central forced air handler and may be set with the programmable timer. Upgraded insulation keeps the place cool in the summer and warm in the winter. dual pane windows are throughout. Flow through air circulation coupled with ceiling fans help keep the the interior air fresh and clean.

2 bedrooms downstairs are comfortably sized but not too big! Outfitted with 2 windows each and a ceiling fan and light. Upgraded carpeting keep the noise down and the floor comfortable. These rooms are located at the rear of the home for privacy and next to the full size bathroom for convenience.

The large master suite is off the loft and is accessed by nice knotty pine double doors. Another access point are the arcadia doors leading to the open balcony offering views of Buckskin Canyon and beyond. Within the suite is a walk in closet and master bath. The open loft may be used as a library, gaming or even for entertainment. The loft overlooks the greatroom.

The Land
The property was burned in 2002 during the Rodeo/Chediski fire event reported to be the largest forest fire in known Arizona history. Since then most of the surrounding land within eyesight has been cleared and cleaned. The surviving pines have comeback strong and there's new growth flourishing. Wildlife, elk, turkey and deer to name a few, have regularly come into the property to take advantage of the stock tank.

The land backs the Apache/Sitgraeves National Forest and Ranger Draw. This land is reserved, protected federally and not for private development. Trails within the National Forest system lead to several canyons, lakes, washes, campgrounds and historic sites. Hiking is a great outdoor activity and easily done from this land as well as cross country skiing in the winter.

Panoramic views from the front, side deck and master bedroom balcony add to the natural beauty and charm of the homesite. Star gazing is a hobby of the residents along with big game and bird watching, several bald eagles have been soaring these skies!
